Dr. Ayman Matta, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Ayman Matta, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the Director of the New York Eye Institute. Dr. Matta is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Matta specializes in Cataract Surgery, Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma, Corneal Transplants, Medical and Laser Retina Surgery, including LASIK, PRK, PTK , AK , and Lens Exchange Therapy.
Dr. Matta completed medical school and his internship at Ain Shams University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and the State University of New York, Stony Brook at the Nassau University Medical Center. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Anterior Segment and Cornea & Refraction at the Bucci Cataract and Laser Vision Institute in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Guerriero
Dr. Guerriero is a Board certified Ophthalmic Surgeon specializing in Retina and Vitreous diseases and Uveitis. Dr. Guerriero received his medical degree in 1983 from Downstate Medical Center. He has extensive clinical and surgical experience from the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he received his Residency training in Ophthalmology. As a third year resident, he won the prestigious Louis Girard Award which is given to the graduating senior who has made a significant contribution to ophthalmic research.

Eiman Atia, O.D.
Dr. Atia is originally from Calgary, Alberta in Canada where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary. She continued her education at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA where she earned her Doctorate degree in Optometry and graduated with honors.

Talia E. Dibi, Optical Manager • Optician • Marketing Director
Talia has worked at New York Eye Institute since 2009, as a Lead Technician then pursued her goals to being Optical Manager/Optician and Marketing Director. A graduate of Wallington High School in 2007 and earning her Associates Degree in Allied Health has benefited working in this environment. Talia is extremely organized and known for having an exceptional memory that has come to great use as an optical manager.
